History of G.D.M Church: Konkapalli
In 1971, a Sunday School for Christian children was started by Brother P. Rama Rao, and it continues faithfully to this day. This Sunday School laid the foundation for establishing a church in the area. In September 1976, Beth-nimrah G.D.M Church began with six members as a house church in our own home. Brother Kundurthy Jesuratnam, then serving as manager of the Women’s Hospital in Ambajipeta, is recognized as the spiritual founder. Since then, the church has grown steadily in both spiritual depth and membership, now reaching nearly 300 baptized believers.
Initially, services were held in the family home from 1976 to 1991. In 1991, a tiled-roof building was purchased and used for worship until 2009. As the structure aged and became unsafe, the congregation prayerfully decided to build a new church. By God’s grace and through the generous contributions of believers—large and small—the necessary resources were provided. Construction began with prayerful dedication, and the new church building was completed and formally dedicated on 29 December 2012.
SPIRITUAL WORK
From the beginning, our congregation has remained prayerful and faithful. Between 1976 and 2015, the number of baptized believers grew from six to about 300, and newcomers continue to join, many preparing for baptism. Regular weekday programs strengthen our fellowship, and we plan to expand our ministry activities in the days ahead.
